Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl

I recently read Anne Frank’s diary for a Book of Choice assignment in Mr. Kabodian’s English class. Which is, by the way, my favorite class 🙂 It was SO good. A few years ago in 5th grade (I’m in 7th grade now) I started reading Anne Frank’s diary but after about 3 pages returned it to the library out of boredom. I guess I was too young to appreciate her diary. It was so beautifully written. One of my favorite quotes from her diary is, “I want to go on living even after I die. Which is why I thank God for this gift of writing. When I write my sorrows disappear and my courage is reborn.” This book is so powerful and I would recommend it to readers of any age.
